Bibles and Christian Teaching Materials Needed

Situation:
     During our March 2017 visit to Dewoblee, Pastor Anthony Banto walked more than 1 day to speak with Pastor Samuel Gayetaye about the challenges he and 11 other Pastors face in this very remote area of Liberia.  He shared that they: 1) Lack the most basic Christian teaching resources (Bibles, commentaries, and other teaching materials); and 2) Are in great financial distress, causing many to reduce their time performing pastoral roles to instead focus on earning funds to care for their family.

     Since that visit, the CRI Board has been determining how to assist these Pastors.  We have decided to focus on two priorities: 1) Providing Biblical teaching resources; and 2) Discipling these Pastors, through both face-to-face and via recorded videos.  Consistent with these goals:

Pastor Samuel will be traveling to this area (possibly with other missionaries from NY and SD) in March 2018.  He is preparing an agenda of worship, revivals, and Pastoral conferences.
Recording seminars and other pastoral teaching opportunities that could be viewed by these Pastors.  Due to limited internet access, we will most likely procure video players and utilize DVDs.
$1,000 has been reserved by the Board to purchase Biblical materials and other tools that would benefit these Pastors. We are also reaching out to our donor communities to see if needed resources are available that could be shipped at a price that is less than purchasing them in Liberia. 

Needs:
     Following a recent conversation with Pastor Anthony, Pastor Samuel is requesting help gathering 12 or more sets of the following resources that could be shipped in time for his arrival in March 2018:

• Printed Materials:
  • Bibles (English and French)
  • Bible Dictionaries
  • Topical Study Bibles
  • Thompson Chain Reference Study Bible
  • Shepherd Staff Manual (See: https://world-map.com/en/tools/shepherds-staff/)

• Other teaching materials on:
  • Prayer
  • Evangelism
  • Christian  leadership
  • Church management
  • Stewardship

• Supplies:
  • 12 traveling Communion set(s)
  • Notebooks and pens for Pastors

Request: 
     For these items to arrive prior to March 6th, we would need to collect them and ship them in barrels before December 31st.  An alternative would be to raise funds to purchase these items in Liberia or a neighboring country.  Please contact Pastor Samuel at the email or phone number below if this is something you can commit to.
