2017 was a Great Year of Progress ... and we are excited about 2018!

On behalf of our CRI Children, Staff, and Board ... THANK YOU!

During 2018 so many marvelous steps were taken to further our ministry and impact lives for Christ.  They are so numerous, it is difficult to just name a few.  Please smile and give thanks as you scan through this partial list:

• Raised sufficient funds to ensure our children are well feed, clothed, and cared for medically ... and for the first time, we began paying an entry level wage to each staff member who previously served as a volunteer;
• An addition to our small home ... adding about 20% more space that included another bedroom, another bathroom, and a kitchen;
• Installed 36 bunk beds so each child and adult has their own bed ... along with individual storage cabinets, tables, and wall coverings to make our home a bit more personal;
• Completed the exterior structure of the 1st level of our community school ... and we are fundraising to finish out the interior spaces of this very important resource to our kids and the community of Fendell;
• Received a gift of 2 acres of land from the people of Dewoblee to construct a medical clinic;
• Purchased a plank saw to help the community of Dewoblee as they work on bridge repairs, clearing land for a medical clinic, and other important lumber needs;
• In September, more than 55 grade school children from the community began getting educated with our 32 kids. We only have 3 paid teachers, so we were blessed with 8 teachers who began serving as volunteers to make this level of education possible;
• Received a gift of approx. an acre of land for use as a Kid's Garden ... and many volunteers worked to clear it; build seed beds, prepare the ground, and teach the kids how to plant/grow vegetables to supplement the food needs of our kids and staff; and
•  In November, Pastor Alex Topah held the first CRI Community Church Service in the school!

Each of these glorious milestones where accomplished in Jesus name and strength ... and the dedicated efforts of his people.  So many thanks to all who have contributed to CRI:  our kids ... our staff ... our board ... our volunteers ... and the community leaders of Fendell and Dewoblee!
