Who We Are

Children Rescue International was inspired by Pastor Samuel K. Gayetaye and co-founded by his wife Delecia in 2012. Pastor Samuel is the Visionary and Executive Director of this 501(c)3 and is originally from Liberia.

“When you are a refugee, my fellow Christian friends, you are underprivileged as I was. You do not have access to the basic needs of life like others do. But to God be the glory, despite all of these life challenges He delivered me out of this situation and brought me to this great nation (USA) on May 29, 2007; where almost every basic need of life is available and which I had never experienced before."

But Pastor Samuel could not stop there.  In February 2012, the Lord gave him this vision ... "Do not forget where you came from (Deuteronomy 8:10-20), always remember to be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ in the lives of the underprivileged children, mostly the orphans and destitute.”

Many years have passed since their civil war and two severe Ebola outbreaks, yet Liberia remains one of the poorest nations in the world. So many children continue to struggle every day with the most very basic aspects life. Thank you for partnering with us to share Christ's love, provide physical stability, and create pathways for greater opportunity for the orphaned and destitute children of Liberia!
